Rye

Rye

Rye powers the infrastructure behind agentic commerce—enabling AI agents and applications to autonomously complete purchases from any online store. Founded in 2021 by Arjun Bhargava (ex-Reddit) and Justin Kan (Twitch co-founder), Rye's Universal Checkout API solves the fundamental problem that's blocked AI-driven shopping for years: merchant fraud detection systems that reject automated transactions. With just a product URL and tokenized payment method, Rye handles price resolution, tax calculation, shipping options, and checkout completion in seconds—achieving 99.9% order reliability and sub-10 second checkout latency across any web store while maintaining PCI compliance.

We redesigned and implemented Rye's entire website in Framer to match their updated brand presence and market focus as they pivoted from social commerce infrastructure to becoming the checkout engine powering the agentic commerce revolution.
